_ABILITIES: Gamagori is extremely strong and endurant even without his goku uniform, which most can tell just by looking at him. (His size alone shows it). Not only can he handle a massive amount of pain, he usually likes it. It is often for him to preserve his uniform better than the other Devas simply b y not activating it in favour of his own strength.

Along with that, his sense of will power, his resolve, and his loyalty are difficult to shatter, though in defeat he tends to take it to the extreme. Proving to him he over looked something, or a failure on his end can bring him to his knees.

He will be coming in with his Goku Regalia, and outfit he's been trained with and made to be used by him. It can be over used and eventually stop working if it's not taken care of, but otherwise is near indestructible (though it can take damage from specially crafted weapons for that purpose, like Tsumugu's weaponry and Matoi's Scissor). It's abilities include:

Granting him superhuman attributes by expanding upon his already there strengths/giving him super human strength and endurance for the most part.

Comes equipt with a seemingly endless supply of whips extended from out of his large gauntlets.

His Goku Regalia allows him two transformations, each with their own purpose:

Shackle Regalia

Takes away use of his arms but makes him completely invulnerable to outside attacks. Depending on how much he is struck, he will grow in size and strength, storing all the energy attacked into him. While in this form he can use any of the cloth bindings around his body like whips to attack at his opponents or drag them to him. They allow him to bind the other person as well, even against him to crush them into his body.

This transformation also has the ability, Self Flagellation, where he uses the cloth like whips on his body to repeatedly strike himself in order to store power, should his opponent not do it.

Scourge Regalia

Often a transformation he takes after Shackle Regalia, the first of Scourge's abilities is to unleash a huge area attack that is more powerful depending on how much energy was stored during usage of Shackle Regalia. This attack is an unleashing of hundreds of spiked tentacles in all directions at once in a burst of strength relating to how much 'punishment' he took.

After this first attack while he stays in this form, he continues to be able to use his spiked tentacles as tentacles, they have a wide range and high strength. They're able to damage stone and buildings as well as clump up to make larger and thicker tentacles to be used for attacking.

This regalia also comes with spiked chakram (Indian throwing rings), which he can detach and throw by use of his hands or with his whips/tentacles. How many of these he has is unknown, he just keeps pulling them out to throw them, so I'd go to say he has a large number, like with the whips. These chakram are also able to shrink after hooping around an opponent to bind them up, creating a tight ring around them, or rings if he uses several on someone at a time.

Finally, while in Scourge form, he is able to turn his gauntlets into two halves of what is essentially an iron maiden. Using this 'mold' he can crush an opponent into a desired shape. ...Or kill them or maim them? It's pretty frightening.

Overall his second form can be used without turning into his Shackle Regalia first, but it's much weaker, the stronger his Scourge form is depends on the damage he takes in his Shackle Regalia.

Also I should note- Gamagori's size fluctuates often, to the point where people climbed on him to get up to a helicopter in the sky. His size shifts depending on how big others are next to him (him usually being the biggest no matter what), emotional reason (like intimidation), or gag reasons.

_PERSONALITY: There's a good deal of personality linked to his relationships with others I could've mentioned but felt it better to include in this section because it really helps explain his personality. Though-

He's not too hard to tackle.

Gamagori Ira definitely has a trope about him. He is very much, in internet forums terms, a white knight. Defender of those worthy, bringer of justice, and an abhorrent rules snob. But over all? He is extremely loyal, giving of himself, respectful, and has some massive resolve, will, and fortitude. All things you need to spread your points in in table top White Wolf games. His big thing is just that- human will. He is a living shield in many ways.

Throughout the series Gamagori Ira's loyalty is unquestionable. He is always the first to jump to the aide of Lady Satsuki and is unafraid of showing his devotion to her. He is extremely disciplined as well as knowing how to discipline others. When he doesn't fill this role, or feels he hasn't done well enough by those he is loyal to, he is extremely effected by it. Even going as far to try and commit suicide after a failure, only to be stopped by Lady Satsuki (episode 9).

As the Disciplinary Committee Chair in Honnouji Academy, Gamagori takes his role even further. He is not against punishing those who deserve it and will when he must, does not tolerate law breakers and will even use himself as an example to show how students should act in school. This, like all things in his life, he takes very seriously.

He tends to lack a sense of humour, or so it seems. He only appears to laugh in situations where he is ontop of things and rather confident of himself- almost cocky. Though this confident persona of his, no matter how powerful, is a bit projected. He has a slight inferiority complex and always has to make up for his mistakes and do better than he has in the past. A couple instances can be seen in Episode 19 where Matoi bests him by saving more students in a much easier and faster fashion then him, and in Episode 22 where he finds it necessary to carry the most Suction cannons and even is shown contemplating it. Like hm, how many of those massive things can I carry, why not everything we have left, yes sure.

With that may I add he isn't very bright. Gamagori isn't exactly stupid he- is just well, still a naive 19 year old at times. I say this now because the name of that many suction cannon stance he uses is "Seven-Plus-Two-Strong Super Suction Saver!" Which really, is just kind of dumb, right? Dude, say ten, sheesh. But not even that. He's shown on multiple occasions asking others what they mean (usually smarter individuals or those just explaining something rather intricate) and even once turns his car wheel, spinning it to maneuver away from a chasing vehicle and then questions why the car spins out (episode 8). So all in all, a little naive, a little not bright. But isn't at all afraid of asking for explanations. Wants to better himself in every way. He IS above asking for help though. He's book smart enough though, he'd have to be in order to keep his place as one of the four Devas in his school.

Help is something he has some difficulty with accepting because he is very much of the belief, you break it you buy it. Simply put, but same idea. You mess something up, it is your responsibility, and this goes for positions of power as well. Early in the series when Sanageyama's club fails him in their orders, Gamagori makes sure to punish Sanageyama for the issue as well as make sure he is the one to redeem himself. Sanageyama took that position of power so now his failures and successes are visa versa the same with his group and himself. Gamagori isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty and has an extreme sense of duty. This plays into both his role as a protector and shield, as well as his slight complex with self image and discipline.

Speakin' of discipline- well discipline and the ability to just express himself and say things that need to be said- Gamagori is one heck of a masochist. Guess it makes taking all that punishment easier, hey? In one version of his Goku Regalia, he even whips himself as an attack to store up energy. It goes with the image of discipline and flagellation that seem to be a theme with him, especially early in the series, but he also seems to- enjoy it very much. In many instances when others attack him or he strikes himself, he's known to comment on it in rather- interesting ways. Going as far to say, "That's it! More! Punish me more!" and "I've been a bad boy!" (episode 8). Again, this merely shows his willingness to be honest and forthright, while- also making us aware he's perfectly all right with being that uh- living shield even more. But on this note, lemme again remind you he isn't afraid to discipline as well. His whole theme is give and take with the discipline thing.

Gamagori also is shown to really value people with purpose, and those who a true to themselves. Two examples of this can be seen with previously mentioned individuals. Though he tends to respect these people, and many others, he isn't above making friends, and is shown to be on very good terms with the other Four Devas, Nonon Jakuzure, Uzu Sanageyama, and Houka Inumuta. Though- he still sticks to that serious persona. He can still enjoy time off, vacations, and enjoys taking advantage of a break to go for a good drive in his car. His very bright, pink convertible car.

It was mentioned previously that he is loyal to Lady Satsuki which is actually shown in his past as to why. She confronted him and made threats to taking over his school, and he stood strong and defended it. Though through her will and strength, he saw her worthy and came under her lead. He is influenced by those with goals, righteous goals, and isn't swayed from these people easily. With that, not only is he influenced by those with direction and drive, he is also influenced by those who are true to themselves. In his relationship with Mankanshoku Mako, this can be seen.

In many occasions is he shown having to deal with this seemingly overly dramatic individual but over time he grows to respect her. This begins when he realizes she is perfectly okay with being a 'slacking overachiever'. While both those things he is against, the fact that she knows she is these things, comfortable as she is strikes him. Over time he is shown to comment on her stubborn ways, giving a silver lining to them, while still trying to make her work and be an active part of her school. He goes as far to say things like, "Not even you can pull out the earplugs she wears, for they are earplugs of the heart." (episode 20) One can be led to believe this plays some role in his inferiority complex and need to better himself. He sees those so fine with who they are and it effects him because he lacks it, and pushes to be more of something else. It also falls under the concept of seeing others as examples and following this example, which he shows belief in earlier in the series/comments on how he made himself act to help other students improve themselves by example.

He tends to be the more mature one, even in appearance, told he has an 'old man face' though that comes with literally being the oldest- and biggest. Despite his naivety, inferiority complex, and tendency to be rather loud and expressive, Gamagori is rather levelheaded and in a dire situation can make necessary and calm decisions. Even when someone is lost to them, Matoi, and can no longer fight by their side, he comments on how they cannot focus on that loss but must focus on what they can still do (episode 20). But oh BOY is he still all about emotions and EGO.

So much so even his final Goku Regalia is literally just called Ego Burst. Regalia which has the theme of well- just unleashing your emotions and being uninhibited. Again falling both into his need to show almost, presence dominance over everything, and that whole, BDSM theme. Releasing yourself and your inhibitions and unleashing your true emotional potential. The final stage of discipline, when you are disciplined enough to be trusted on your own, acting on your emotions, and lettin' go. Loud and proud, man, loud and proud. Also a common theme, so much so it's a running gag. Is 'presence' is such a part of his character his size is constantly changing in the anime. Even starting a meme, Gamagori's size? Bigger than you. It's all about the presence, how you hold yourself, and he really tries hard to be that emotional edifice.
